Although I was away for the New Year Celebrations and unable to get to the game it was good to hear the news that Birch had completed their first League Double of the Season in some style with a 39.0 win (WRU seem to have different score to everyone else !!) over close and fierce rivals Glais.
Tries came from Dale John, with a hat trick of run in's, congratulations to him, with Nick Fisher, Rob John, Rob Green and skipper Adam Percival joining in the fun. Nick Fisher also weighed in with a couple of conversions.
A great position to be heading in to the New Year sitting pretty on top of the league with an unbelieveable and proud record of played 10 won 10 and only one point away from a maximum 50 points on offer. That's 10 points clear of Swansea Uplands on the same games and 15 points clear of Porthcawl who who have two games in hand but did themselves no favours on Saturday by losing to Pyle.
Nick Fisher comfortably leading the top scorer board with his prolific boot and eight tries moving him on to 135 points for the season. Top try scorer is Lee Harris with 10 followed by Fisher and Josh Key both on 8
Next up, Saturday 6th January is a visit to bottom club Pontycymmer.
Let's keep up the good work Lads.
Happy New Year to all our Readers
