The Club has announced that Influential Second Row Scott Beard has been appointed Club and First Team Captain for the coming season. Congratulations to him and we wish him every success in this important role as the Club moves in to the unknown waters of Division 2 Rugby.
Our appreciation also goes to outgoing Captain Adam Percival who led from the front last year to guide the Team to its well deserved Promotion. Adam is looking forward to concentrating on the continuing development of his own game and will once again no doubt be a pivotal influence in midfield.
Scott will take on the reins of leadership for the first time tonight as Birchgrove take on Cefneithin in the first friendly of the Season at home kick off 7.00. I understand a number of new signings will also be on show.
