Unable to get to the game today but I am told a well drilled Bridgend Athletic side aided and abetted by a few home errors took the points in a 13 -16 defeat. This was our first home league reversal since April 2018 when Porthcawl were the victors so not a bad record and yes it had to happen eventually.

Birch it seems turned around at half time 6 points to 3 in the lead thanks to 2 penalties from Matthew Edwards but lost the second half  7 -10 as Edwards added to his tally with a try and a conversion.

Although this setback comes on the back of last week’s defeat at Waunarlwydd we are still finding our feet in this quality division and sitting in mid table after four games with 10 points is no disgrace.

Cup next week at Dinas Powys before we resume with another home league fixture on 19^th October against unbeaten Kenfig Hill which would be a great scalp to take and get back on track.
