A magnificent 4 try bonus point point win at Glynneath last night to break a row of 4 successive defeats at the hands of the Neath Valley Side.
Still on Overseas Assignment but my sources tell me it was a classic encounter with Birch taking a 0-10 lead early on with local boy Ashley Evans crossing, only to have this whittled back by the home team to 10-10. A further converted try from the visitors though put them back in to 10-17 lead at half time and hopes that a much needed win was on the cards.
Well our boys did not disappoint as the second half provided two further cracking converted tries from Tristan James and Scott Gibson to set us up nicely at 31-10. Glynneath rallied though and not to be outdone in the try count bounced back with three tries of their own to bring this exciting encounter to an end at 31.25.
Congratulations to the visitors and all involved in a try feist that must have warmed the hearts of the Supporters of both sides but I hear that Birch must take the plaudits for the quality of their free running counter attack try count.
Well done lads a visit to Tondu next Sat 2.30 kick off
