I was unable to attend last night's game at Tondu but my intrepid reporter Martyn Leonard sent the following dispatch from the touchline:-

Although the 45 -13   scoreline looks big , Birchgrove gave their all with bare 16 players . The big turning point of game when score was 21 - 13 to Tondu Birchgrove had two consecutive scrum penalties under posts with a dominant scrum  all game. The ref then awarded Tondu scrum penalty when in fact should have been penalty try to Birch. This took the wind  from our sails and the hard working boys  tired towards the end allowing Tondu to get further scores on the board

Man of the Match was  Lewis Cox for his  relentless carrying continuosly  knocking opponents over .

The same commitment next Wednesday at Ystradgynlais will hopefully give us a victory.
