 As the midweek result and more importantly our retention of Division 1 status is now old news just a Summary of the game for the benefit of those not there and my International readers, all two of them !!

1. First Score: Brynamman drew first blood with a well-executed penalty kick.3-0
2. Second Score: Birchgrove responded swiftly, courtesy of Gunter’s successful penalty.3-3
3. Dirksen’s Try: Dirksen showcased his skills, scoring a try for Birchgrove after a clever dribble. Gunter added the conversion.3-10
4. Brynamman’s Penalty: Another penalty for Brynamman narrows our lead 6-10
5. Birchgrove’s Response: Griggs powered through with a lung-bursting run to score a try for Birchgrove.6-15
6. Brynamman’s Turn: Brynamman answered back, securing a try to make it 13-15.

HALF TIME

1. Penalty: Brynamman strike first and slot over a penalty, taking a slim 16-15 lead.
2. Birch next : Forward power gets  Aled Thomas crossing the line 16-20.
3. Brynamman’s Resilience: Brynamman fight back, notching another try and successful conversion 23-20.
4. Scott Gibson’s Heroics: Birchgrove’s Scott Gibson embarked on a sensational try-scoring run, putting them ahead at 23-25.
5. Late Drama: Brynamman’s nerves held as they secured a late penalty, clinching a 26-25 victory.

Despite the loss, Birchgrove’s 2 bonus points ensure their place in Division 1 and Brynamman live to fight another day.
