After what seems an eternity waiting Rugby returned to Parc Bedw today as Birchgrove entertained close neighbours and rivals in a friendly. The Weather was kind and a good crowd enjoyed a lively run out for both teams.
The Birchgrove squad made up of some recognisable stalwarts but peppered by a handful of new signings gave a good account of themselves and ran out worthy winners in a 17.7 scoreline. Birch crossing for 3 tries and restricting the opposition to one.
The Management tell me that they are hopeful of a further friendly next week ( so watch this space ) before we embark on the local round of friendlies kicking off with Dunvant at home on 7th August.
